House to Home - Board and Batten
I think my life motto would be to "cut the chaos", or at least try to. We can all agree that one of the biggest, chaotic events every day is getting out of the door with all.the.stuff and then coming home with all.the.stuff. Here's our way of dealing with it all, or most of it.

Happy Monday and Happy Thanksgiving Week!
I only have two days of work this week and we have lots of fun holiday things planned. My mom is on her way up to spend some time with us and the kids are ready for a much needed break.
But first, let's talk about the weekend!

House to Home - Shiplap Walls
When we moved in to our house I knew pretty early on that the dining room was one of my favorite spots in the house. I love the bay window, the wainscoting detail and the sconces on the walls. I didn't have an immediate plan, but knew that I would want to tackle the dark khaki wallpaper sooner than later.

Menu Monday
Happy Monday everyone! We had a blast of a weekend and are gearing up for all of the holiday festivities to start. It is so exciting to be living in a climate that lends itself to bundling up, sipping coffee and listening to Christmas music even before Thanksgiving!
Here's a peek at our weekend and what's on tap for this week.

House to Home - Stair Runner
Before we dive into this series I'm calling House to Home, please know that when we saw our house for the first time just driving by, we knew that it was the one. We were thrilled that we got to purchase such a beautiful house and it really was move in ready. All of the before pictures you will see are the pictures that were on the website that were taken when the previous owners lived there.

It's been a while...
Let's see. When I last posted, Everett was 4 years old, Hilty was one and a half, we lived in Orlando, I was still teaching first grade and we had recently gotten a puppy.
Now, two and a half years later, Everett is in first grade, Hilty just turned 4, I am a PE Coach/Athletic Director and we now live in North Carolina.
Surprise!
There is so much new going on, but so much that is the same all at once.
