As for our weekend, we definitely packed it all in. Friday afternoon/night we headed to the Central Florida Fair for some good old fashioned fun. We didn't have any funnel cake, but we did feed some fun farm animals, watch pig races, ride some kiddie roller coasters and Everett and I even went on a helicopter ride!
It was my first time and it was AWESOME! The whole ride only lasted about 2 minutes, but we were pretty high up there!!!
On Saturday we packed our bags and headed up to Palatka to start the renovation/remodel of my grandparents' house. We recently inherited this little 3 bedroom, 1 bath and have decided to fix it up and sell it.
Days 1 and 2 of #theinheritanceproject went pretty well. There was A LOT of stuff left in the house that we are having to go through which just takes time.
We did find some pretty cool old photographs of my mom and dad at his graduation from UF , my grandmother's old Underwood typewriter that is in perfect condition along with many, many other keepsakes from my past, which was pretty neat.
As for our plan, this will definitely be a work in progress. We are getting a dumpster delivered this week and are headed back up this weekend to clean out some more stuff and host a yard sale so that we can get to the fun aspects; like pulling up the carpet, refinishing the hardwood floors, painting the walls and trim, fixing up the adorable front porch and re-configuring the kitchen.
I am on Pinterest non-stop and my brain is overflowing with such fun design ideas. But, until then, we will just keep cleaning, and cleaning, and cleaning.
Luckily, my mom's house is only about 10 minutes away which means free babysitting (thanks mom!) and lots of family time.
