Happy Monday and Happy (almost) New Year! We had a wonderful, and laid back Christmas this year. We usually go to Wisconsin to be with Mike’s family every other year, so this was our year to stay put in sunny, warm Florida.
Since my mom’s house is only about 30 minutes from the shore, we took full advantage of the gorgeous weather to spend Christmas-eve in the sand rather than the snow. I grew up going to St. Augustine/Crescent Beach and love seeing E run around the same places.
Treats for Santa!
Christmas morning snuggles.
E definitely had fun playing with his new toys, but wasn’t as into the unwrapping as I thought he would be; but I just keep hearing…wait until next year! He LOVED his grocery cart from Gransie and tools from Grandma Pam – he hasn’t stopped playing with them since Christmas Day!
We rounded out our mini-Christmas vacay with a quick trip back to St. Augustine the day after Christmas to celebrate our friend Ryan’s birthday. E was happy since he got to hang out with his main squeeze Kennedy all day and we had a blast toasting to the birthday boy.
Since returning home there has been lots and lots of organizing, purging and cleaning of closets. I am determined to be clutter free and ready for the New Year! We are also excited to see the Badgers play on New Year’s Day in Tampa. Go Bucky!
