We’re back! Back to warmth (minus tomorrow), back to routine and back to work (sniff, sniff). We had an amazing time up north and have not really stopped since we returned. Everett was a champ during our escapades in Wisconsin, but was SO happy to be back in his crib. I woke him up after sleeping for 13 hours the morning after we got home…I don’t think he wants to see a Pack n Play for a while!
I have so much to tell you about our trip, all of the things we did and experienced with Everett for the first time and what we learned about traveling (9 days) with a baby - more blogs to come soon (hopefully!).
Here are just a few snapshots that capture the last 2 1/2 weeks:
As for the this week we are starting the new year off right by training for another race. We just signed up for the GATE River Run in Jacksonville in mid March and are pretty excited. It is a 15K (9 miles) that is so much fun. We did it a few years ago and can’t wait to do it again…this time with a few friends! We are also getting excited to celebrate with our friends Jenny and Jeremy on the upcoming birth of their baby boy. We can’t wait to meet the little guy and E can’t wait to show him the ropes!
Our menu is a yummy one and I’m so happy to be back in the kitchen cooking.
M: Pork (leftover) Quesadillas w/ Carrot Sticks
T: Hawaiian Pizza and Chopped Salad
W: Shepherd’s Pie
Th: Girls’ Night Out!
F: Chicken Pesto Paninis w/ Sweet Potato Fries
Sa: Jenny and Jeremy’s Baby Shower Fiesta (more like a party than a shower!)
Su: Steak Salad
Have a great week!
Emily and I will be running the Gate too :)
