Weekend highlights:
This past weekend was a fun, fast and busy one! I spent most of Friday night and Saturday morning acting as Martha Stewart in preparation for my friend Noelle’s baby shower that my other girlfriend Kamrin and I hosted at her house Sunday afternoon (full recap and recipes coming this week).
I found myself dipping oreos in white chocolate for the shower favors, making a sparkly white and pale pink tutu for the new little one as the shower was a shabby chic ballerina theme, and then finishing a burlap name garland to display over the gifts. I love DIY projects and getting crafty, however this was the first time I have tried to do it while caring for an infant…thank goodness Mike was there on Saturday or I would still be working on it!
Taking a craft break to play with this little dude.
My mom came down Saturday afternoon since she was attending the shower as well (and had all of the vintage mix and match china we planned to use at the shower) and got some good E time in. She also purchased an iPad! To most of us that is not really a big deal, but after hearing her frustrations regarding her (very old and slow) desktop computer, we convinced her that an iPad was right up her ally…and she agreed! Off to Target we went (they were offering a $50 giftcard with purchase) and an hour later we were home with a new toy for Gransie!
After a night long tutorial – with a movie break in the middle; we watched the newest Die Hard movie thanks to Redbox – she was an iPad pro! She is so excited and has already practiced taking pictures and videos of E and even sending them to her friends – this is big I tell you!
E was excited about Gransie’s new technology!
As for Sunday, Noelle’s shower was beautiful and I can’t wait to share more about it later this week!
We can’t wait to meet sweet baby girl Finley!
