Things I am thankful for this Monday morning:
- Only 3 days of work this week and then 11 days off. Spring Break baby!
- My foot doesn't hurt today. I guess getting properly fitted and going up a half a size in running shoes and getting insoles really does help.
- That this our last week of long runs (actually our highest mileage week during our whole training - 38 miles total) and then we begin tapering. Thank goodness - I can't wait!
- I don't have to run this afternoon in the heat (see below).
I am also excited to watch the NCAA Basketball Championship tonight for two reasons:
1. My friend Jill is a UK grad, so I will be cheering for Kentucky since my Gators are out (they are also SEC, and Mike needs them to win for his bracket). Go Cats!
2. I LOVE the One Shining Moment song/video they always play at the end of the game commemorating the whole tournament. I look forward to it every year and always end up with chills. If you haven't seen it before, check out the 2011 video here.
