Living in Florida, many times my wardrobe can have me in quite a predicament. In the early "winter" our temperatures in the morning average between 50-55 degrees, which is chilly to me, and our afternoon highs average about 75-80 degrees, which is quite warm.
Being a teacher, I am in and out of the classroom all day, on the playground for recess around noon and in the car line/parking lot at the end of the day. I have keep myself warm in the morning, comfortable around noon and cool in the afternoon.
I have found the best way to do this is to layer. Many times I just sacrifice my legs, and accept the fact that they will be goosebump ridden for a little while first thing in the morning, and concentrate on keeping my upper body warm.
Today, I started off with a scarf, cardigan and long sleeve shirt. As it warms up, I'm sure I will be taking it all off (well, not all off) so I'm not sweating up a storm at 3pm on the hot asphalt.
Layering is also a great way to bring a "pop" of color to any outfit. Enjoy!
Happy Friday!
