tried this?
Looking in my pantry last night I decided that I had to share this awesome little grocery store find.
I love balsamic vinegar and ate lots of it with everything when we were in Italy, but I love balsamic glaze, or often called balsamic reduction, even more. It is sweet and syrupy and adds a great dimension of flavor to almost any dish.
Although balsamic reduction is very easy to make, it does make my whole house smell a bit vinegar-y when reducing on the stove, which is not the most desirable smell in the world.
So, as I was perusing the aisles the other day I came across this gem: ready to use Balsamic Vinegar Glaze. I have used mine multiple times already and wanted to share my love of this delicious topping.
If you haven’t tried Balsamic Glaze yet, here are some ideas to get your taste buds excited and make your significant other think you are an exquisite gourmet chef.
Drizzle on top of the following for added flavor:
- Tomato Mozzarella Salad
- Flank Steak or any other cuts of beef or lamb
- Grilled Chicken or Pork
- Salmon
- Pasta with Tomatoes and Parmesan
- Watermelon and Feta Salad
- Blue Cheese Mushroom Burgers
- Roasted Vegetables (carrots, green beans, butternut squash)
- Pesto or White Pizza (even easier with store bought pizza)
- Bruschetta
- Strawberries
- Cantaloupe with Prosciutto other melons
There are many recipes online that can be found by simply “Googling” Balsamic Reduction or Balsamic Glaze.
Enjoy!
