Trendy Teacher–On a Budget
I think many times teachers get a bad rap for dressing poorly. People think of teachers as wearing themed holiday sweaters, high water khakis and clunky shoes. Well, to explain this phenomenon, I introduce you to two words: TEACHER SALARY!
Teachers usually wear things until they have so many holes in them, that the garment cannot physically be worn any more. I am not one of those teachers, but I am not a shop-o-holic either.
This is a great way to stay trendy without breaking the bank.
This top (which I got on consignment at Plato’s Closet) is one of my favorite summertime shirts and is great with a pair of cut-offs and flip flops for a trip to the beach. The shoulder cutouts and twisted rope detail are so cute and perfect for a night out , but not very work appropriate. Until now!
Take your wardrobe from the beach to the workplace by simply tucking it in, and adding slacks, a belt and a cardigan.
Beach appropriate + work appropriate = double duty. Talk about multiple wear-ability. Love that!
